Lakelynn Houck
Interior Design Junior Student
My Name is Lakelynn Houck. I am a current Interior Design student at Oklahoma State University. My zeal for Interior Design has been prominent since my younger years, as I found myself more intrigued by the Barbie house than Barbie, herself. I am especially interested in all things Residential. This includes New Constructions, Renovations, Staging, etc. However, I am open to exploring other areas of Interior Design and would be interested in learning more about Commercial Hospitality Design. Biophilic Design and Sustainable Design are additionally significant design concepts to me and I hope to regularly implement them into my own designs one day.
After graduation, my goal is to register for the NCIDQ and become a real life, registered Interior Designer. I plan on relocating to a bigger city, where I feel opportunity is abundant and possibilities are unlimited. From there, I hope to join a team whose avidity for creativity and sense of responsibility matches my own.
While my time at Oklahoma State has been challenging and I have had to push myself beyond limits I did not know I had, it has been so much more rewarding than I ever could have imagined. I have discovered how passionate I am about this field and the type of role I want to play in it. I am grateful for the beauty of the challenges I have faced, as I have grown immensely because of them. I look forward to taking what I have learned with me into the world, and doing my part, to change it for the better.
