Interior Design Junior Student

My name is Taryn Davis-Booker! I am currently a Junior Interior Design Student here at Oklahoma State University! Originally when I came to college, I wanted to pursue a degree in Architecture but during my time in the program, I quickly learned that it wasn’t for me. Still wanting to focus on design, I switched my major to Interior Design and it was the best decision I could have made.

During my time in this program, I’ve been guided by some of the best professors and I’ve been able to find my passion. The DHM program has exposed me to many forms of design but I’m more interested in Residential. I’ve always found Residential Design to be such a unique process because of how personal it is to the client. Being able to provide a person with a space that is comforting, their safe haven, is very important to me.

As I finish my third year, I look forward to the many opportunities the DHM program has to offer me. Here at Oklahoma State the professors have been devoted and invested in our education and I can’t be grateful enough. In the near future I plan on working as an Interior Designer with a focus in Residential Design and I’m very excited to see how far I can go!
